My husband is a die hard West Virginia University fan and wants me to make him an afghan with WVU on it….Would appreciate any help or if someone has a patter they would like to share, please let me know…..

Hi I’m looking for a free baseball afghan pattern.Nothing too difficult .I don’t know how to do tunisian or graph type crochet yet as i am relatively new to crochet.I know SC,Dc,TR, HDC stitches.Should be a regular size blanket by this i mean not a baby blanket.One in chicago cubs colors would be a plus but not necessary.thanks!

Do you find that they leave out little things in order to shorten the instuctions to fit on the label?

I diagram the pattern to figure out the little things they leave out to see if it is correct. What do you do to figure it out?

I am working on the pattern “Diamond Trelis Afghan” and find that diagraming it has helped me to figure it out. Does anyone else have this problem with them and what do you do?

I have a crochet pattern I’m trying to read, and I can’t understand it that well. Its probably a lot easier than the other patterns people try to read, but I’ve never tried patterns before. It says I need to ‘6 sc in Adjustable Ring, sc inc every st – 12, sc inc every 2nd – 18′ and it goes on like that. Can anyone help me understand what that means?

I want an easy and fun stitch to do. I have eight skeins of 100g, 253 yd Chenille yarn. I do not want to do blocks or strips. It is going to be for a five year old.
Also, has anyone ever tried to do something to personalize an afhgan like this before? I was thinking something like a quilt block with her name on it in the center and then crocheting around the square until I reached the desired size. I am not really sure how I would do this, though. Any ideas for this, or maybe a different one??
